Aranya Retreat set in Goa, India gives artists, writers, photographers and others from beginner to advanced levels, the space and time to work in a sanctuary of peace and beauty, set in the incredible energy and natural beauty of the Goa landscape. Aranya is situated in a private forest estate, high above the countryside at the end of winding road, looks out due west to the ocean. Artists and Writers but also others find inspiration there, of course from the omnipresent India all around, but also due to its light and sea, the countryside, the architecture and its the aromatic mix of of cultures. Programs offered include solo retreats, group residencies and curated programs that aim to bring together people of various hues to held create and co-create.
Aranya provides an environment that frees artists from the routine of daily life and allows them to truly focus on their art for an extended period of time. It offers living and studio space.

Other facilities and services
Group tours to local attractions, villages, beaches and the city of Panjim and Old Goa are offered. Boat trips and special cultural events can be arranged.
Artists have access to
- a single bedroom for four- or eight-week residencies with communal meals provided

- mentoring & critiques by professional, working artists-instructors
Local Exposure, An International Experience
Artists are given individual space to freely focus on their craft, as well as ample opportunity to engage with the supportive local community of artists —including communal sunset gatherings and impromptu evening presentations. At the end of their residency, artists may participate in “Open Studio” sessions, a chance to share their work with Goa’s Art extensive community and the public.
